Research Strategy 2020

Web site Research Strategy 2020 (Forschungsstrategie 2020) was an extraordinary interesting and exciting project that incorporates political issues with social capabilities of web. It is a platform that empowers broad public to discuss about Austrian research strategy created by Austrian Council. From politicians, state officials and university professors to interested public like journalist and individuals, everyone can take part in process of discussion. Therefore, it marks a remarkable experiment in social and political interaction. MontenaSoft programmed the Drupal framework for this project, created visual design and organized hosting for this extraordinary project. Changes in the Austria Research Strategy and the web site was presented in the press conference on 14. May 2009. in Vienna, Austria.

About Austrian Council:
Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development (RTD) is a federal government committee. The role of the Austrian Council is to give advice on how the extra-financial funds for RTD provided by the government. In 2000 (509 million Euro) and for the years 2004 - 2006 (600 million Euro) have been allocated.
